Sweet Bailey

So Bailey has been having it a little rough lately...She is being such a stinker! and gets in trouble ALL the time!! I think it really started just before Lena was born and has progressively gotten a little worse, plus tag on that she's in her terrible twos and poof monster child. I have been attempting to potty train her but with NO success and when I ask her why she doesn't want to go in the potty she says, "because I'm the baby." Ok so I get that she's feeling a little shoved to the side and Lena has stolen her lime light but I'm not sure what to do about it besides try and give her more attention...but when I do try and play with her or whatever she does things to tick me off and I think it's on PURPOSE! Well the other night she was finishing up her dinner - piper and Curtis had gone up to start baths and I was washing dishes - I looked up at her and she smiled SOOO big and cute and said "mommy, I love you" so sweet! and then followed with "Mommy...when can I be your baby again?" Uggg! Talk about heart wrenching! She is just the sweetest little thing in the whole world and I'm SOOO grateful to have her in our little family and get to be her mom. She is really the happiest kid I've ever met and literally bounces through life. I think she's a lot like Curtis. She makes me smiles ALL the time. The other day we went into Walmart and I got marshmallows. Bailey was sitting in the front part of the cart and wanted to hold the marshmallows so I let her. As I was getting some other things I over hear and see out of the corner of my eye Bailey hug the marshmallows and say "I love you mallows." I mean come on! Adorable! Then we went to target on Friday and we walked past the snack isle and there was a ginormous tub of cheese puff balls. Bailey spotted them and Squealed in delight "ohhhhhh I LOVE you!!" and ran up to them, grabbed a tub and hugged it with ALL her might!! I've NEVER even bought them before but somehow she LOVES them. Anyway, she is just so precious and I hope I haven't traumatized her and she keeps her sweet optimism forever!

That would be heart wrenching to have her say she wants to be your baby. And I think you should get video of her telling the cheese puffs she loves them. That would be funny.

It sounds like classic middle child syndrome- I feel ya Bailey! J/K- I'm sure you are doing great- proof that you are is in the fact that you recognize those moments when she is being precious and you cherish them.
