Trip to the Beach!

So Piper and I had a way fun adventure today! We kicked off the Summer (spring) with our first trip to the beach - TOTALLY unplanned. The dr. that I'm going to is way down in Mt. Pleasant (close to the beach!!) and I had an apt today... SOOO Piper and I decided to go the beach on a whim! It was supposed to be nasty and rainy today but so far it's been great - cloudy but still great. It was so fun and so spontaneous! We didn't have ANYTHING beachy with us - no sunscreen, towels, Swim diapers, extra clothes - NOTHING! AND It was so great that way - I didn't have ANYTHING to carry!!!!!!! We had such a blast. First Piper wouldn't take her shoes off to play/walk in the sand but after I started exfoliating my feet she gave in. We played in the sand for a couple minuted and then I convinced her to go get our feet wet. On our way to the water we came across the GREATEST "BUBBLES". Piper LOVED them. She ran around stomping on them and screaming "bubbles bubbles". I told her we should get our feet wet and she willingly followed but when the water touched her feet I thought she was going to have a heart attack. Her face was priceless. The water was cold and she did not like it! So we played in the bubbles some more. THEN we saw so way cool beach birds (NOT seagulls although they were there too) and Piper thought it was fun to chase them saying "come on - come on". Join in the fun you silly birds! It was great! My non-daredevil of a child soon became the biggest dare devil EVER and just about chased the dang bird into the ocean - She got over the cold thing REALLY fast and splashed away in the foamy water. She thought it was fun to run out in the water and then run as fast as she could away from the waves when they came. Here she is running from them and pouncing on some "bubbles" along the way. Yeah, she started with all of her clothes on - then the pants came off - then the diaper- and by the end i HAD to take that wet shirt off. Luckily I had a sweatshirt and extra diaper in the car for the ride home. Anyway we had so much fun! She keeps saying "beach - fun". Can't wait to take her agian!
